Wah Cantt
is located 50 km (appx. 30 miles) north west of Islamabad. It is Famous
because of its Gardens, It’s rich history, It’s literacy rate of 96%, It’s cement
factory and culture. It is a valley as it is surrounded by hills in all
directions. It was a favorite place of the great Mughal rulers. They built
several gardens here such as the most famous “Wah Garden”. It is still present
with its remains of Mughal architecture. Wah Garden has a historical value
along with being a beautiful and attractive picnic spot. This park has the
potential to attract people from different places. It is located on the main
G.T Road and can be found very easily. Wah is located in a fertile valley. It
is suitable for growing every sort of crops, especially fruits and you can find
any kind of fresh fruit on very cheap rate in the market of Wah. This area was
not developed before the construction of the POF, but now it is one of the most
advanced and developed places in Pakistan. Its name Wah said to be mentioned by
Shehenshah Jahangir in Mughal Ruler ship.The word Cantt was added to Wah in
1951, when Prime Minister Khawaja Nazim-u-Din
unveiled the foundation stone of Pakistan Ordnance Factories Wah Cantt.
Chaudhry Sardar Khan was the founder and first Deputy Director General of
Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), Wah Cantt. POF is not one factory but it is
a complex of 14 factories. Wah is a multicultural city poeple from many cities
gathered here therefore culture from Karachi to KPK can be observed here. Wah has
a “Senior Citizen Foundation of Pakistan” as well as library. People of Wah
cantt are very matured and mannerfull due to there high litracy rate.

History:
You can confirm Its history from wikipedia. Wah
has a rich historical background. Mughal Emperor Zaheer-UD-Din Babur mentioned the Wah
region in his book the Baburnama. Sultan Sher Shah Suri, who built the famous Grand Trunk Road (GT
Road), built a 'bawley' or watering place at Wah in his Rulership. It is now named
as Sher Shah Park and is situated near the Aslam Market. It is said that Sher
Shah's horses used to drink water from above mentioned area. It is said that it’s
name was called when Mughal Ruler Shehehshah Jahangir was getting back from a
Kashmir with his army and tried to find some reasonable place to spend the
night evening view and the mountains surrounded area was very beautiful and
inspiring at that movement the words came out from the lips of the Emperor “WAH”
which means “wow” . Those words were written in the stone of the history and
area is called WAH since that time. The Mughal Emperor had a strong influence
on the architecture of the city which is still visible to date sites like the
Wah Gardens and Sher Shah Park. If any person have any additional information
